Without a doubt one of the smartest comedies out there, yet they still manage to do broad humor really well. Wasn't blown away by the season finale, but it still left me glad to know there was more to look forward to.

Archer is such a good show! From what I've heard, it's supposed to be a 16 episode season, with the first three airing back to back with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

It's actually coming back this year...for three episodes. Starting Sept. 15th, FX will air three episodes of the third season and finish them up in the spring season.

Honestly, I don't know how to feel about that.

One one hand... cool. I LOVE Archer, it's my favorite show on TV. So the sooner the better.

On the other hand, I hate breaking up seasons. And breaking up by the first 3 episodes is a bit much (or, I guess, little).

Well it's not exactly a split season. 3 episodes now and a full 13 next year, but I don't know exactly how the plot will be handled, so it still could feel like a split season.

From what I can tell from the official Archer website, these three episodes are being handled as a three part special, between seasons 2 and 3.
