Gary is jealous when he learns his old school rival is dating his ex-girlfriend, Billie. Billie is concerned about Gary's feelings and he tells her he would like to start dating her again, but she wants to remain just friends with Gary.
Barney and Archie square off in court over a TV that Archie purchased from Barney at a electronics store that Barney accidentally broke while installing at the bar.
Stephanie is using marijuana to fit in with her friends. When Archie finds the drug in his basement, he hits the ceiling and Billie takes the blame for Stephanie. Stephanie tells Archie the truth when he finds some boys smoking upstairs in the bathroom at her party.
Murray returns to recoup his investment in the bar. Archie gives him a hard luck story and Murray allows Archie six more months to get his share of the bar sold.
Archie, Barney, and Harry go out for a night on the town to celebrate their years of friendship. They enter a bar to meet some women, but when they have no luck they soon realize it's a gay bar and they split.
Gary convinces Archie to go to a convention for busisness management. Archie goes, reluctant until he meets the female instructor and the two of them hit it off. Archie learns she's married but she still wants him anyway.
Archie reluctantly hires a woman bartender to help out Harry, but when he fires her because he is unhappy with having a lady bartender, she files a discrimination lawsuit. Gary advises Archie to give her the job back.
Archie takes Stephanie to visit her wealthy grandmother. But when the truck fails to start, Archie becomes an unwanted supper guest at her home. Stephanie looks to her grandmother for answers about her mother.
Billie talks Archie into giving unemployed Barney a job at the bar, which they soon regret. Barney's employment at the bar soon turns into disaster, and Archie must find a way to tell Barney he's fired.
