Goof: The book that Ricky has when he is in the dungeon, has only a few sentences one second then, in the next shot it has at least two pages full.
Goof: The fish in the tank in the kitchen never move. They are obviously fake.
The book Belinda first opens is called The Dragon by Candy Close.
At the beginning of this episode Ricky is watching Night Of The Living Dead. Dayday, the brother in the episode called The Tale Of The Nightly Neighbors, does the same thing.
Betty Ann; (Opening Line) Belinda was everybody's favorite babysitter. Her advertisement in the newspaper said, "For Kids Who Hate Babysitters." Thats it, and a phone number...
Betty Ann: (Story Intro) We tell all kinds of horror stories, about demons and ghosts and stuff. But no matter what a story is about, there is only one thing that makes it really scary. Your imagination! If you're really into a story, you become part of it, and you start to imagine what horrible thing might be sneaking around the corner, ready to pounce. And you start to wonder, what to do if you were the one, facing the monster. It's your imagination that gets you into a story, but unless you're careful, you might need it to get you out. Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story... The Tale Of The Bookish Babysitter.
Ricky: It was late on a dark moonless night, as a wild storm raged across the woods. The hideous witch flew closer to the lonely cottage, swooped down and banged on the door.
Ricky: We were just reading.
Mrs. Winters : Yes, that's the part I don't believe.
Belinda: You know, when you start a book it's a good idea to finish it.
Alliteration Alert! (Bookish Babysitter).
This is the second story in a row that Betty Ann told. The one before was The Tale Of The Doll Maker.
This story was told by Betty Ann.
