  • Books come alive. Now I read them

I never thought reading was so easy until I really thought maybe they should come alive. I was very impressed although disappointed for this episode, nothing much happened with the book, it was just one scene and I just didn't get it why didn't the babysitter sell these good books. If books came alive in the world, then everyone would go after them. They're all first edition and you know it. The plot was above average. Who knew books were so fun to read. after this whole episode I started borrowing books and used my imagination to think whenever I read. Since I do, I fit in the world with funny jokes and wilder imaginations beyond.moreless
  • A babysitter makes a boy reads books and whatever is read comes alive.

This episode has to be a real scary one in the series. The summary doesn't sound like much but I can remember every bit about this episode. The parts that were scary to me was when the ghost was in the hall, the witch was chasing them, and the whole scenerio of the story.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Betty Ann; (Opening Line) Belinda was everybody's favorite babysitter. Her advertisement in the newspaper said, "For Kids Who Hate Babysitters." Thats it, and a phone number...

    • Betty Ann: (Story Intro) We tell all kinds of horror stories, about demons and ghosts and stuff. But no matter what a story is about, there is only one thing that makes it really scary. Your imagination! If you're really into a story, you become part of it, and you start to imagine what horrible thing might be sneaking around the corner, ready to pounce. And you start to wonder, what to do if you were the one, facing the monster. It's your imagination that gets you into a story, but unless you're careful, you might need it to get you out. Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story... The Tale Of The Bookish Babysitter.

    • Ricky: It was late on a dark moonless night, as a wild storm raged across the woods. The hideous witch flew closer to the lonely cottage, swooped down and banged on the door.

    • Ricky: We were just reading.

Mrs. Winters : Yes, that's the part I don't believe.

    • Belinda: You know, when you start a book it's a good idea to finish it.
