  • Gave me nightmares when i was a kid for years.

Yeah i dont know why, but when i was like 4, i saw this and i had nightmares daily about it! ha! Best episode IMO. Anyways, the rale of the crimson clown really did open me up to the possibility that there is something under my bed, in my closet, or in that lump on my bed. Of course, I was never that bratty to my older brother, but i was just scared of that clown and how he would be able to pull you by your feet until you died. Loved this episode, brings back memories when I watch it! (good and bad [ha!] )moreless

this is the episode that i remember the most.i got scared of this episode because i have an identical clown like that and because i was 4. i was really really scared lol.

i love the ending of this and i hope we see the return of the crimson clown in possibly a new series.

10/10 i give this because its better than any chucky movie and even though its a small clown,it is scarier than zeebo.

you can see this episode at www.youtube.com and other ayaotd episodes.

i hope they release all the episodes on dvd some time in the U.S and in australia.moreless
  • A toy doll comes to life to terrorize a bratty little kid who gets his older brother in trouble and never does his share of work.

This episode still gives me the chills just thinking about it! This episode was scary, but it also teaches a lesson. No, a clown won't come alive in the middle of the night to terrorize you, but it nonetheless shows that you should never act nasty towards someone. This episode had a pretty good moral to it and it was rather frightening.

    • Sam: This stuff is a bunch of crud; don't buy anything here. I'm going to the toy store.
Mike: No! I'm supposed to watch you.
Sam: No sweat. Watch me leave.

    • Gary: (Story Intro) Tonight, I've got a special story... There's an old saying, "What goes around, comes around." In my story, one kid finds out that no matter what you do, good or bad, it always comes back at you. It's great if you do something nice, but if you do something rotten... Watch out! It's coming back, and probably when you least expect it. Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story... The Tale Of The Crimson Clown.

    • Mike: Sam, whenever you're bad, and that means when you steal, the crimson clown is watching you.

    • Mike: You'd better not! Or the...Crimson Clown will get you!

  • NOTES (5)

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • Zeebo the Clown (from the earlier episode "The Tale Of Laughing In The Dark) makes a cameo as the title character of a video game seen on the desk of the boys' room.

    • In the boys' room are posters on the walls. One is the publicity poster for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for the Sega. 1994, Sonic 2 had just hit the shelves.
