Are You Afraid of the Dark?

The kid learned the wrong way to handles bullying. He has an annoying little sister that bothers him all the time and a bully that is constantly breathing down his neck. This is all part of a little thing called life. It was still fun to watch though. When he learns how to awaken the monster, his sinister side begins to show. He concocts a clever plan to lure the bully into the basement and lock him in with the music playing to get the monster to come out and take him.

Despite all of these actions, he never meant to make the bully 'disappear'. He just wanted to scare him into leaving him alone. His facial expression at the end implies that he plans to do the same thing to his little sister.

This show reminds me of the Little Shop of Horrors of the last part. Feed me. It was like Audrey the second only this time you couldn't see the monster in the light for it was always in the dark. Andy did have such a bad life. Divorce and then such luck into a house. So that's how uncle Miles got filthy rich was because of feeding people like his neightbors to the monster. At least Koda as to work for an allowance, but Andy has to work for a paycheck. Paperboy? I wish I was one. Andy definitely taught Koda a lesson. He is fast and clever. Then in the end, after skeletons, dolls and feed me, he became a little evil.

This episode started out a little rocky because it was kind of boring. But it began to become more and more exciting. Andy Carr and his family moves into his dead uncle's house. The basement was really creepy and music would cause something strange to happen. The doll thing and the guy at the carnival was surprisingly scary. I was on the edge of my seat each time the door shook. The acting in this episode was kinda bad but overall it was a good episode. Finding out that his uncle made a deal with a spirit or something was kinda cool. It was a good thing that Andy fed the bully to the ghost. I liked this episode a whole lot.

Although stupid, i thought this episode was one of the best of season 1. Although the acting was a little rubbish , as it so often is in Are you afraid of the dark, it was ok and it was good to see the bully to get his come uppance. I jus wonder what happened to him. And i wish the sister got it aswell, i hated her. It was quite creepy for this show i thought. I quite liked the story aswell. However i don't know why they think the house is creepy, it isn't. It was quite good so make this an episode to watch.

This episode, while it starts off a bit slow, is one of the finest in the series. It is one of only two tales told by Eric, and is both frightening and sinister. I'm a horror movie fanatic, I have seen countless films and still the scene with the life-size porcelain doll makes me shiver (which is an incredible feat since I'm not normally freaked out by dolls). The twists and turns are delightful and the "cliffhanger" ending is perfect.
