A great story then, a great story now. I loved this show when it was on the air. I always got excited when the theme song played. The idea of a door in someone's attic that, when entered, takes them into a dollhouse in the attic that looks exactly like the real house is brilliant! Whomever wrote this story is a genius! And, of course, before long, the people that enter the dollhouse turn into dolls themselves. The door disappears and the two girls have to leave through the door in the dollhouse attic. I look forward to buying the DVD set if I can find it!moreless
  • A predictable yarn about dolls.

    "Good"
In what clings barely to the dizzying heights of mediocre, this is far from Classic AYAOTD.
A dull story about Melissa, who finds that the friend she spends most of her time with at her aunts has dissappeared. Then there's something about a creepy doll house, and a lot of pointless wondering and sneaking about.
Keep waiting for the twist...it will not arrive.
I'm not completely negative about it, it's a neat, pacakaged little story which wraps itself up nicely. But it could have been so much scarier. It really didn't reach its potential...but a nice little episode none the less.moreless

  • very original

What an original episode! Whoever heard of a haunted dollhouse that sucks people in? What's even creepier is that it looks kind of like the real house that the girl is in. It really intrigues you because the suspense builds up tremendously as the girl (Melissa, was it?) tries to figure it all out.
