  • Peter and his little sister are playing in the woods. When Peter finds an old tree, he finds himself in the tree playing this strange game, every space they land in the game has different effects on his sister, and friend.

I really liked this episode, The forever game. Somewhere in the woods lies an old tree in which the person who gets stuck in the tree has to win a game or stay there forever. I know this idea has been done before, but it is still a neat episode. The game they play has effects on who ever is with them in the forest. Everything from Lightning, to an evil beast that won't leave them alone. This episode also has a really good ending that I didn't expect. Even though the idea has been done before in other movies, I still think this episode was really good.
  • After a boy who mistreats his friends and family steps into an ancient, creaking tree, he learns that must play a game that puts his sister and friend in jeopardy and that after it's all over, he may still be stuck there forever.

The first episode of the new series, where Tucker reincarnates the apparently defunct Midnight Society with a group of his friends. He goes first, telling this fantastic little tale. It is a quite interesting idea, The Forever Game...a game similar to Jumanji, in that certain spaces make things happen in real life...and that there is a hunter-type character that never leaves, even after a person's turn is up. Despite, I actually like the premises for this game over Jumanji. And the fact that the "annoying little sister" freed her mean older brother and herself is a great "underdog"ish ending.
