At the beginning, David gives Kristen a locket for her birthday. A locket is a key part of this story's plot, too.
This story is told by David.
Nitpick: If the little girl lived in the house next door, and died there, why would the nanny, who is obviously tortured by her daughter's death, take a job at a house so close to where the tragedy happened?
David: (Story Intro) My story has got to do with two kids, who don't get along, because they're so different from each other. And a love that is so strong, it can survive anything...even death. Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story... The Tale Of The Lonely Ghost.
David: (Opening line to story) It was the beginning of Summer vacation, and every kid in town was phsyced. Every kid except Amanda Cameron, that is. Her mom and dad were some kind of scientists, who had to travel up North to study Inuit stone carvings. So, Amanda was shipped off to her Aunt Dottie's place for the Summer.
Aunt Dottie: Sometimes I think this house just doesn't want to be sold!
Beth: She really thinks we all did this!
Beth: Amanda, help me! I'm stuck in the mirror!
Though the third episode of the season, this episode is second on the season one DVD.
This is the first of two stories that David tells in a row.
Sally: "Maybe she was deaf." In a later episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark?(The Tale of the Closet Keepers), this actress plays Stacey, a deaf girl.
