The twists and turns in the plot here are great. The story is pretty engaging and suspenseful, but the special effects are just atrocious. I would have given this episode a higher rating had they come up with something more original than a UFO-like beam and blue glowing light. Something about them just give this episode a cheesy feeling, a downfall of many Are You Afraid of the Dark episodes. But to be realistic, though not completely fair, it was the 90's. Even now special effects aren't always great...so at least this show has an excuse.moreless
