There was such thing as a parallel universe and trust me it was freaky. The finger trick on Gary looked real but no blood. It was all a trick. Weeds is sort of cool, wanting to be a magician. The specs caught my eye when MB wore them and saw the woman in black. This freaked me out. At school Weeds played such a cool prank. the chipmunk voice was hilarious but the locker issue was not. The specs really got me on but how can two worlds live together as one? the specs follow MB around and finally Sardo drove the other universe away. In the end, the other universe won and the prank Gary pulled was so scary and it looked so real. Turned out to be Dave. It was great.
  • A very good episode.

This is one of those episode from this series that has a dark end to it. I loved it. From the beginning where she sees those people in black,to the first introductions to Mr. Sardo and of course, the ending. Everything kept the viewer in suspense and kept us guessign what will happen to her. So many questions still remain unanswered like why the other dimension wants to take over us or where the dimension lies. The ending really surprised me and I have to say I expected a good ending. Any fan of infinite dimensions or just plain being surprised, should watch this.
  • A pair of glasses, help a young woman see into another dimension.

Great Episode. The story was perfect, The acting was pretty good. A great twist ending and the Midnight Society's reaction to the story, classic.

I felt like they did a good job of explaining the story and developing it, in such a small amount of time. The running gag with Sardo's name was a nice keeper. Nice to see his first appearance, which accounts for many future appearances.

Started off in another area, exploring outside of the usually setting for the opening was classic. Very different and helped with foreshadowing Gary's story.

All in All, this has got to be one of my favorite episodes from the first season.

This had to be one of the best episodes in the season. I would absolutely LOVE to have some specs like that. I mean to think that there may actually be some other dimension like that living all around us. I love the thought and i love this episode. Now if they can make glasses that can see into the future.
  • I wish I had some Super Specs.

This episode was different from all the rest because I actually laughed more than I was scared. It's April Fool's Day and Weeds is a big prankster. It was cool that whenever he would perform a spell and it would work but he wasn't patient enough to see it. When Mary Beth put on those specs and saw that lady dressed in black, man that was scary. It couldn't have been me because that was really creepy. This episode introduces us to the infamous Sardo. When they were all sitting at the table trying to close the window of the dimensions, he didn't have a clue of what he was doing and that was funny. I wonder why the black people looked like that, were they aliens or something. At the end when MB, Weeds and Sardo were trapped in the crystal ball, that was a big twist because I thought they succeeded in closing the other dimension out. Overall this was a great episode that was funny and fun to watch and it had its scary moments.
  • Really bad effects, but an ok plotline.

If you like happy endings you might want to skip this one. thats all I'll say. This episode, had some good things going, and some bad things. The acting, with the exception of the main girl, was very good, and the plot moved at the right speed. The villians were only slightly frightening and at times they were completely ridiculous. Why would beings from another dimension, be playing basketball? The recurring character of Sardo, is very funny indeed, and if that's all you look for in an Are You Afraid Of The Dark episode, then this should be one of your favorites. But if you need slightly better effects, and a scarier story this one is just ok.

loved this show. I could watch it over and over again. They shouldn't have stopped making these shows on nickelodeon. That was stupid to take such a great show off the air. Now all they have is a buch of mess comming on everyday. It makes me mad. This show is my all time favorite show and will always be my favorite. I would do anything for the show to continue to keep going. They could atleast put the shows on dvd. I know i'm not the only one who feels this way, am I? I sure I speak for many.
