Long ago, three girls attending camp got lost in the woods, only leaving behind their whistles. • In 1919, three campers got lost in Watcher's Woods. All that was found were their whistles. Decades later, two girls are paired together for a summer camp activity. They lose each other in the woods and find the girls who disappeared 75 years earlier.moreless

This is one of the greatest tales to come from Are You Afraid Of The Dark? It is a well written, very intricate and interesting plot. And! For once the costumes / monsters / ghoulish characters do not look unbearably cheap. The story itself comes from Sam, a new friend of Betty Ann's wishing to be initiated. It follows two girls, one an overachiever who is new to the camp, and the other is a returning camper who is reluctant and bitter about being there. They don't get along at first, but they are assigned to work with each other in an activity in the woods. After they are get separated and both end up trapped in Watcher's Woods, they must work together to save one another and the trapped spirits of the other lost campers.moreless
  • One of my most favorite episodes of AYAOTD. When a few kids go into the woods and get lost and stumble upon some strange events.

This is probably one of the most memorable episodes of AYAOTD for me. It was kind of scary to me on account i live in the woods.. but it was not the scariest one there was in the series. I remember the witches and them riding into a school and getting lost in the woods and having to use a whistle of some sort.
  • One of my favorites episodes in the shows history.

This episode is one of the classic ones of this series. Whenever i think of this show i immediately think of this episode. Plus it makes you think twice about wandering off in the woods.

The episode takes place at a camp and the two main characters are complete opposites. One is the new, ideal camper fit with all kinds of merit badges while the other is a veteran of the camp and mad about being there. The veteran tells the newbie a tale about Watchers Woods. Supposedly three young girls got lost in the woods back in 1919 and were never heard of again. The only thing that searchers found were their whistles. Out on a hike the next day the two campers get seperated from each other and end up in Watchers Woods. One of the girls encounters three witches who trap her and want to make her dinner. It turns out the witches are actually the three young girls that got lost 75 years earlier. They say that the only way to break the spell is for them to get their whistles. Just in the nick of time the other girl retrieves the whistles and everyone is set free.moreless
  • Three girls disappear leaving behind only their whistles

Kelly is such a brat. This story wasn't at all interesting to watch except when it comes to the killing part. the Watcher was not scary (not like Nosferatu) and um, it really didn't have much of a plot. I've seen a film like this. this episode is a mixture between medevil times and modern day campers. How on earth could you be having a camp at 1919? This was like when the stock market crashed or something like that. In the end, the ghosts come back and finally Sam is taken in. They should've blindfolded her like Frank in my opinion.moreless
