Today, February 26 2009, we were sad to hear about the passing of Wendy Richard, aka Miss Brahms. She brought sex appeal to Are You Being Served and offered some great cockney lines. Give our regards to John Inman, Wendy!

Yes, very sad. She can have tea with Molly Sugden now, too.

I too am saddened. She will truly be missed. On that show, her cockney regular person character was a breath of fresh air.

    Mollie's still alive.

That's a shame about Wendy, though.

On that note, who's still alive? Trevor Bannister, Frank Thornton, Mollie Sudgen, Mike Berry and Nick Smith, right?

I too am sad that she has died. Has anyone updated her page with the date of her death?

As for the core cast I do believe you're right.

Yikes. And three of those actors are well into their eighties.

I used to watch this show with my grandparents. She was a very cool lady.

Frank Thornton actually still appears on several different Britcoms currently (I can't remember specifically which ones off the top of my head). And I believe he's in his 80's. He looks great.

So many of those from the old BBC shows I enjoyed so much are gone. It is like the lost of an old friend you have not seen in years. That so how make it hurt more. We in the US get so few of the BBC shows that we loose track of them and it not until they pass that we find them again.
