      • Mr Harman: They've got a twelve-inch poof in the furniture department.

Mr Humphries: I would have thought they'd put him in Novelties.

      • Mr Humphries: (noticing the professional cabaret) They're all the same as us!

Ballet dancer: (in a butch voice) Not exactly the same, mush.

    • NOTES (2)

      ADD NOTES
      • Mr. Tebbs' departure was imposed on AYBS? for business reasons. James Hayter played the fictitious Mr. Kipling in commercials for Mr. Kipling's Cakes. His Mr. Tebbs character was deemed, in the eyes of the cake company, a detriment to their image.

      • This was the final appearance of James Hayter as Mr. Tebbs. He will be replaced by Alfie Bass as Mr. Goldberg in the following season.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • The allusion with the title, "Happy Returns," is to the fact that the series was picked up for another season. This is the last episode of season 6.
