Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

Jeff Foxworthy introduces the new fifth graders; Jenna, Bryce, Jonathan, Francesca and Olivia. The first contestant is Kathy Ireland Supermodel and CEO to her own billion-dollar corporation. She picks Olivia as her first helper.

Question #1 is worth $1000 is a 1st Grade US Geography: What Ocean borders New York City? She answers Atlantic Ocean, which is correct.

Question #2 is for $2000 in 1st Grade Animal Science: True or False: All birds migrate? She answers false, which is correct. She picks Bryce to be the next class helper. Jeff brings out her 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. DeMeo.

Question #3 is for $5,000 in 2nd Grade World Geography: The country of Belgium is located on what continent? She answers Europe, which is correct.

Question #4 is for $10,000 in 2nd Grade English: If you add the suffix 'ly' to the word quick, you'll make a new word. What part of speech is that new word? Kathy answers adverb, which is correct. She picks Francesca as her next helper.

Question #5 is for $25,000 in 3rd Grade Measurements: Which of the following can be measured in decibels? The choices are a snail's speed, a whale's blubber or a rattlesnake's rattle. The next contestant is Kathy Cox, a 43 year-old Superintendent of the Georgia State schools. She reads out of Jeff's permanent record. She picks Jonathan as her first class helper.

Question #6 is for $50,000 in 4th Grade World Geography: Costa Rica borders two countries. Nicaragua is one of these countries, what is the other? She answers Panama, which is correct. She picks Bryce as her next helper.

Question #7 is for $100,000 in 3rd Grade Health: Which of the following foods contains no natural protein? The choices are whole milk, pure sugar or raw eggs. She answers pure sugar, which is correct.

Question #8 is for $175,000 in 3rd Grade Cultural Studies: Which of the following is not an official language of Switzerland? The choices are German, Italian or Spanish. She answers Spanish, which is correct. She picks Olivia as her final helper.

Question #10 is for $500,000 in 5th Grade US History: Which commanding British General surrendered to American troops at the Battle of Yorktown in 1781. She decides to Peek at Olivia's answer of General Potter. She knows that is not the right answer. She now has to answer and pick Cornwallis, which is correct.

Jeff explains that she cannot use any helps and once she sees the question, she must answer it. She can know the topic: 5th Grade World History. Kathy decides to go for it.

Jeff shows the question: Who was the longest reigning British Monarch? Kathy takes her time and goes through some of the kings and queens. She decides to answer Queen Victoria, whom she states she believes was on throne for over 70 years. Jeff notes that she only reigned for 63 years. Jeff tells her that her answer is correct and she is the first Million Dollar winner. She gets to look into the camera and states, 'I am smarter than a fifth grader'.
