    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • The episode began with the following "Heads Up!" disclaimer:

The following program contains scenes from software rated Mature by the ESRB.

It may include images of intense violence, suggestive language, sexual themes, or subversive content, which could possibly fry young impressionable minds. Your innocence, once lost, can never be regained.

      • Editing Gaff
After Bungie's Max Hoberman has presented the trophy, Wil is seen bringing up a microphone to have Max speak. Sudden the camera cuts to the winner holding the trophy and Max hasn't said anyting.

      • The title credits for the episode include Halo footage and music.

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Wil: When this game is completed, one of you will be the Halo National Champion. And the owner of a brand new 50" RCA plasma TV, a stack of Xbox games as tall as Travis, and a new Bose speaker system.

      • Wil: I'm really excited about this. Because it's very much like calling the world cup or the Stanley cup finals.
Travis: Dude don't say that if the network realizes that, they're gonna get professional announcers.
        Wil: What are we?
Travis: We're gamers who got lucky.

    • NOTES (1)

      • Wil claims that this episode was orginally edited for a one hour show. He states that the 30 minute constraint made the National Finals look dull and unprofessional while he was told that the hour version was fun and exciting. Due to production concerns, it was edited from an hour to fit into the regular 30 minute slot.

The hour version of the show was never aired, nor is there any surviving footage of that shoot.
