Armageddon from The History Channel is a series that delves into the deep secret fear we all have: that one day soon the world will come to an end. Interestingly enough, nearly every major religion and society past and present has a concept of the end of days; the time during which destruction of the world will begin to wipe out evil so good may live forever. With this series different aspects of the Armageddon myths are explored and mysterious ancient figures discussed. The famous predictions of Nostradamus are dissected as well as Mayan myths and theories on what really killed the dinosaurs. The show speculates on phenomena that could destroy the Earth such as a gamma ray burst and offers opinions on what life would be life after humans are gone. For anyone who is interested in mythology, theology and the science that interweaves the two, this is the series to watch.moreless
