An episode set back in WW2 and this episode was actually pretty good

In this episode of Army Wives, the following happens. We open with Roxy and Pamela at a nursing home, when they take their children there to perform a concert for the people who live there. They soon bump into 2 older ladies, who tell them what it was like to live on base during World War 2 and how the wives coped during this period. Although the same actors are in this episode, they are all playing different characters. We soon see how hard it was for African Americans living on base such as Rowland and Joan. Soon a fight breaks out between Rowland and some men who are sitting on his car and won't move. Soon all of the men from his unit get involved to help him out and the other men move on. Later on in the episode we see one husband, paralyzed because of a bullet and in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Another was stabbed, bleeds out and died in his wife's arms. We soon learn that the women knew Betty when she was a little girl. Soon a telegram arrives and everyone thinks the worse, but it is handed to the wrong woman. The telegram is really for the woman who is 9 months pregnant, who married her husband just before he left. The news and the shock sends her into labour. She had the baby and a few months later they had a memorial for her husband. It was the last time they were all together, as after that day everyone went their separate ways. As ladies finish telling their story, one of their son's Paul Jr walks in with chocolates for his mother. And with that the concert ends and all of the kids rush out, and so they leave but tell them that they will be back to visit. And so we end with, Pamela, Roxy, Claudia Joy, Denise and Rowland all going to the memorial of Paul. And so we end with Pamela and Roxy telling their friends the story of how all of the ladies met. At first, when I heard about this episode, I though, ohh no here we go again. But I have to admit that it surprised me, and I loved it. I even cried a few times.moreless
