In this episode of Army Wives, the following happens. This episode picks up where the last one ended, with Pamela entering the room to learn of Chase's fate. We see that he is alive, but badly injured. He says that he was on a helicopter that crashes, and that he wasn't allowed to phone her to tell her what had happened. He then tells her that he has some good news, the doctors have told him he has to stay home for 6 weeks. We then see Trevor, at his own morning training session (Army PT) for surveillances. Pamela then goes to pick the kids up and tells that that their father will be home that afternoon, but hasn't yet told them that he is injured, nor how bad it is. We then jump to Frank and Denise and we see him helping her to prepare for her first ride along, with paramedics. Trevor wants him and Roxy to have a child together, but she isn't totally on board with the idea, at least not yet. Michael gives Claudia Joy a present, a medical bracelet. But she isn't happy about it and refuses to wear it. When the kids get home from school, Pamela tells them about his accident. When Chase comes home and they see his injuries, they are too afraid to even hug him, in case they hurt him. Denise is worried about the fact that Claudia Joy still won't tell people about her diabetes. When one of the regulars from Trevor's Army PT for surveillances, doesn't turn up, he goes to her house to make sure that she is ok. Then since she isn't home, he goes to her place of work. When he gets there, it becomes obvious that she has to work, to earn a living to help her sister support the family. When Pamela and Roxy talk, we learn that Roxy is worried that by having another child, Trevor will love the baby more than the boys. But Pamela tells her that she's just being silly and that Trevor loves the boys like they were his own flesh and blood. At a family dinner, Claudia Joy bites Emmalyn's head off for asking her how her blood sugar is. When one of Jeremy's buddies is killed, he phones home to speak to his parents. We hear Jeremy getting upset on the phone, and soon the phone call ends. Later that night Claudia Joy apologises for Michael, for not acting like herself. She talks about how hard it is to except change and starts to cry. Trevor has a potential recruit from the training group talk to Joan about joining up. Claudia Joy picks Emmalyn up form hockey practice and whilst Emmalyn is changing, Claudia Joy meets a young girl, who also has diabetes. After they talk, Claudia Joy seems more at ease with her diabetes, and can see that life doesn't have to end because of it. As the episode draws to a close, we see Claudia Joy telling her friends about her diabetes. She also shows them how to use her insulin. Roxy comes home to find Trevor and the boys all reading a book together. She smiles as she realises that having another child, wouldn't damage the relationship between Trevor and the boys. And so we see her throwing away her birth control pills. As Pamela helps Chase into bed, she realises that his injuries are not from a helicopter crash, but in fact a beating. Chase was tortured, but he tells her, he's here and ok and that's all that she needs to know. She asks him to tell her the truth, but he won't and simple tells her it was a helicopter crash. We end the episode with Joan spending time with her daughter and getting a phone call. She is told that she will be deploying next week, meaning that if she does return from war, that she will not see her daughter for over a year. As she holds her baby girl in her arms, Joan breaks down and starts to cry.moreless
