I don't think this eppy was nearly as compelling as the previous eppies. However, in light of that, I believe we have to realize that there are going to be episodes that do nothing more than sort of further all the storylines, character building and set up episodes. With that little situation under my belt. There are a few things about this episode that really struck my fancy. I know we'll not be seeing much of Joan, but I certainly hope that the writers don't fumble much over Roland's storyline. I think maybe he has a little PTSD to deal with himself. I look forward to seeing Joan have more of a plot once she gets back onto base. Another character left floundering a bit was Pamela, her hubby's deployed but does that mean she sits around twiddling her thumbs? I don't think so, besides her friendship with Roxy is getting pretty strong, and their quippy talks are so endearing!!! I am really enjoying the by-line of Amanda and Jeremy. I can't believe Jeremy is joining the Army though, I'd bet 100:1 that he gets kicked out for improper behavior!!! All in all the episode moved things along a bit, I'm looking forward to seeing the by-play between Roxy and her mom Marda. This should be interesting. It's too bad Trevor can't go on a mission, really, I'm all broken up over not being able to see that hottie every week!! (J/K) Bring on more episodes!
The episode was full of drama, just the way I like it. But my fav charater was barely there, actually she wasn't there at all. Joan come back from vermont already.
Well Joan Burton (Wendy Davis) went to vermont for training. While she is away rolen Burton (??) starts running and working out. The "girls" check up on him every now and then. In the other hand Trevor Lablanc hurt his knee, so he can't be deployed. Roxy thinks its cool in the beginning but when she understands it she feels what he's going through. She comforts him. speaking of Roxy, her mom comes in, Roxy already knows her mom, so she knows that her mom has a problem. Her mom lost her house and her salon. At the end she tries to borrow a loan from the bank.
Major Frank Sherwood comes home to his family for a fourteen day leave. He and Denise reconnect and Jeremy tells his father that he wants to be an articte. Jeremy also confesses to hitting his mother.
This is the best epsipode for the upcoming showings for the Sherwood family. Frank has allowed his gut reaction to take over for him and he annouces that Jeremy is no longer welcomed in his home; Jeremy can no longer come near his mother; and Jeremy was in fact "dead" to his father. This epsiode is standing point on furture epsiodes concerning the Sherwood family. Keep turned because this part of "Army Wives" can only get better.
This episode really allowed the viewer to explore the ins and outs of the emotional stability of the main characters and their spouses. Between Pamela's husbands confession and Roland dealing with Joan's absence, a lot of emotional pain was brought up. This episode also set up new conflicts between Jeremy's impromptu enlistment and Frank kicking him out of the house. The buildup of all of these conflicts should make a surprising and fulfilling next couple of episodes. Roxy's mother's addiction to painkillers and Trevor's injured knee should also bring up some interesting conflicts on her end of the base. So please stay tuned and keep watching the plot unfold on Army Wives!
Personal issues really took center stage in this show as
Really it hits home to a lot of troops and their families.
Major Sherwood hated it that he found out in
His homecoming his son Jeremy was abusing Denise that he tossed Jeremy not just out of the house. But out of his life. As Roxy must deal with her wild and crazy mother who was late for dinner. Putting stress on her. Show is destined to be a hit.
This episode was not as explosive, nor as intense as previous episodes have been thus so far, and yet I still enjoyed it.
Roxy's wild inappropriate style-like mother showed up unexpectedly late in the evening immediately putting Roxy on automatic defense mode from her mother's previous and regular past lifestyle. Apparently there was more to Roxy's mom situation then Roxy first calculated, like the loss of her home and business, at least according to her mother. There could possibly be more then what is being told as of so far, because Roxy accidentally found her mother's pain medication given for every four hours.
This episode also included a hero's return of Major Sherwood only to find out the shocking, unbelievable truth that his son Jeremy had been abusing his wife Denise while he was away serving his country. Major Sherwood then removed his son's personal belongings, throwing them out with his son, Jeremy. In his eyes his son is now dead to him as well as the feelings of betrayal from his wife, because Denise did not share this very important, vital information with him at the time it was happening, now leaving him to feel that she did not trust him.
