Arnie

Show Summary

Arnie was a worker in a small manufacturing plant who was suddenly promoted to "entry level" upper management. The show deals with his situations at work, being often caught between good management decisions versus doing right by his old cronies who still worked in the labor force. He would often take his situations home where he would try to get his family to help him decide what he should do. All this sounds a bit serious but was presented in a very humorous manner while also offering certain little lessons of life.

Arnie was a worker in a small manufacturing plant who was suddenly promoted to "entry level" upper management.

The episodes usually dealt with Arnie having to deal with labor issues that involved his old cronies out on the floor of the plant. The laborers he had once worked with, now tried constantly to get Arnie to show them favortism since they were all "old buddies". Arnie, on the other hand, had to deal with his new responsibilities as a manager and often found himself in an emotional "tug of war" over what decisions he should make and how to make them in a way that fit management objectives without alienating his old cronies.moreless
