I think that I heard somewhere about a Arrested Development movie. Does anyone know if this is true?

At this moment it is not true but in the future there is a possibility that one may be made.

I love the show, but I don't think I could sit through a whole movie. I'm afraid there are gonna be so much jokes and innuendos in it, I'll miss half of them, which would frustrate me.

Every episode is packed with about two jokes per second, imagine that experience for 90 minutes.

    I'll wait for the dvd.

I really, really hope they make an Arrested Development movie. And I would not mind it one bit if I missed jokes in the movie. It would be just like Airplane!, Top Secret, the Naked Gun and the Hot Shots! movies, along with the TV series Police Squad!, where there were jokes you missed which you could see on repeated viewings on TV and DVD.

It'd have to be done on a small budget. I'd love to see it, but we all know it wouldn't do well in theatres. It might push 30 million, and depending on the budget that could be a good or bad thing.  Does anyone know the budget they had on each episode?

According to the Episode trivia it was something like 2 Million dollars an episode. 2 million well spent though.

Yea, AD goes a lot of places. Lets see... so i'd say they could make the movie for about 15 million...maybe less(assuming the actors cooperated) so there could end up being profit made on the movie since the budget would most likely be small

I would probably watch the movie if it happened.  I was really disappointed in the way the series ended, though.  I am assuming that they knew it was over and had to tie up some loose ends really quickly.  It is so sad that great shows like this are cancelled, but shows that I cannot stand run for years.  Go figure.

I think there is a little bit more story which needs to be told. A movie would be great, and as I voted I would be the first in line to see it.

Lol that's right. I have to agree tho I felt like there was definately something missing on the finale. They wrapped everything up too much but I still had heaps of questions about random things. A movie is necessary!

That new movie Will Arnett is in Welcome To Prison, from the previews it looks like he's playing a character exactly like Gob.

I would so see it... 5 million times! Maybe this will get it more popular if the movie is just as good as the show, and maybe they'll bring the show back. *prays*
I feel so proud of myself! I got my sister's friend and her mom and her older sister and her boyfriend all into Arrested Development. It all started when I showed my sister's friend some funny clips from random eps. She borrowed season 1. and then a month later(She lives kinda far away) her mom and her visited and asked for season 2 and said everyone in their house loves the show! WHOO-HOO! Time to celebrate:

I don't need a movie, but I have been renting the seasons from Netflix and I just watched Development Arrested like 3 minutes ago and I was so sad. Hopefully it will make tons of cash on DVD and they'll bring it back, like with Family Guy.

I hope so, I've got the first two seasons but the third isn't out here until December the 14th so I'm definetely grabbing that when it comes out. Every little bit helps.

Same. I have Season 1 and 2 on DVD, and eagerly waiting for Season 3. I've got all my friends hooked on the show, so the DVD sales are slooooooowly going up.

there's an awesome sale going on where I live.

The first 2 seasons are on sale for $12.99 and the 3rd is 9.99

I however, spent 25 on the first (and it was used) 30 on the second, and 18 on the third

So instead of waiting and spending 36 dollars on sale, I spent 73 and one of the seasons was used.

That sucks, that's alright though it's still worth every bit.
