A legal meeting was taking place. Wayne Jarvis was the prosecutor, Barry Zuckercorn was working for the defense, the defendants being the Bluth family. Sitting at a table are Wayne Jarvis and his assistant. Seated across from Wayne is Michael Bluth, across from Wayne's Assistant is Barry Zuckercorn. The music playing in the background suggests high drama and that a big, serious moment is upon us. (I think documents were being signed, but I forget--some sort of an agreement was decided upon or something) The camera pans and we see Wayne looking at Michael in a serious manner, Michael looking back at Wayne, then at Wayne's assistant. All serious faces. We then see Wayne's serious looking assistant look at Barry, and Barry, looking back at the assistant, winks ever so suggestively at him, startling the man to no end and sealing the gag...and not one word was spoken. There have been so many great moments of 'physical comedy' or 'comedic body language' on 'Arrested'...what are some of your favorites?

Of course, there were many. My top 3 are:

    1) Every time GOB attempts a trick (sorry, illusion) and the wrong thing comes out of his sleeves.

    2) Buster in a WWI outfit

    3) Barry in front of the men's room mirror and does the "Fonzie" thing

I like all of Michael's facial expressions. The mouthing of "What is wrong with me". The way he looks after Tobias, Barry or GOB make gay comments. The look on his face after Buster's rant. GM's expressions are funny too - the akward looks and the looks after "Watcha tryin to say to me" music!

They are both very good at facial expressions - which makes sense - they are father and son

    #3 above

That is one of my absolute favorite moments in the entire series. Then replacing 'Fonzie' with 'Chachi' while the narrating is done by 'Richie', and the whole Matlock/Andy Griffith/Ron Howard/Opie situation, are just brilliant ideas, executed flawlessly.

Michael and George Michaels reations really are hilarious. I love the look on GMB's face when he hears someone at GOB's illusion show ask "Where ever will we find smooth, sexy, ladies legs on such short notice?" and of course the music "whatcha tryin' to say to me" is perfect.

I love, after GM says, "I don't know Dad, Fun and Failure start the same way" And Michael rips down the poster to reveal Les Cousins Dangerous (excuse my awful American French...) and he just glances back at the incredibly uncomfortable George-Michael looks back at the poster and walks off.

You know...I love that the straight character, Michael, is almost more flawed than all the other characters, which are oh so flawed.

"The Wink" is probably my favorite.

    You know the one...

A number of the characters do it by the series' end.

I'd say you guys got it right! Michael and George Michael have the best non-verbal communication and expressions. I'm not sure how great the show would be if that element was missing. Pandamar - you've got a good one with "the wink". "How can I talk you out of ever making that face again." I think that Lucille's non-verbal moments are pretty strong - it's a major part of her character. Her glares are great.

Her glares rock. I also enjoy the whole attitude/gag of, "I don't understand the (insert noun of your choice here), and I won't respond to it."

Along the same lines, I really like the scene in the jail when George Sr. is telling Michael about how funny his brother looked like when he fired him, then he says, "Well, we're twins I can show you." Then Michael at the end of the scene says no to George Sr. about something (I can't remember off hand) and then George Sr. gives the same look. Then Michael laughs and says, "That is pretty funny."

In the first episode of season 2, The One Where Michael Leaves, Lucille says to Michael about Buster that "someone is too grown up to brush mother's hair", to which Michael pauses in the middle of what he was saying, turns back to look at Buster, then continues.

    That look is great!

In "The One Where They Build a House" (Season 2, episode 2), Michael, George Michael, Buster and the "homeless guy" Lindsay is interested in are gathered around Michael's blueprints. Michael says, about the house they're building, "Remember, it doesn't have to be good, it only has to look good" to which the actor researching his role for the new movie, "Homeless Dad" says, "All I want is my kids back."

Michael gives another one of his trademark paused looks.

    I love those!

Going back to one of my favorite episodes, Good Grief, after Michael's not so flattering eulogy for his dad, GOB: "Wow, that was your eulogy? I'm glad dad wasn't around to see that."

Then, the camera cuts to George Sr glaring through the vent. His expression was classic. George Sr had some great moments up in the attic!

Did we mention Michaels reaction to Barry telling him, "I could kiss you on the (bleep)!" at all? That's a fave of mine too.

While this involves some speaking, I love the moment(after Buster mentions that he wishes his father was present)when a just smoked some pot Oscar does his 'Pop-Secret' line of (cue sweet music) "Maybe he is." and Michael tells him 'Oh shut up!' and like 10 seconds later the pot addled mind of Oscar 'gets it' and tells Michael "No you shut up!" Golly I miss this show. What's the latest on the movie project, anyne know?

I was recently watching that episode with a first-time viewer, and I was laughing so hard I jsut had to rewind for him to catch that moment.

And no, I haven't heard anything new, and I'm so angry and/or sad. I'm not sure at the moment. However, I know I need to hear something.

Speaking about that, there is a moment that always gets me, is in "Best man for the Gob". When Michael and his son are laid in separated beds on a hotel, only their faces can be seen, they are talking about fun. So George-Michael says "Dad, I know this is fun and everything, but-" and Micheal says smiling "Oh, this is not the fun. Tomorrow!" And then there is a silent moment. That bit just cracks me up!

Mrs. Featherbottom! When s/he/tobias tries to impress Maebe with a Mary Poppins jump off the stairs. Unfortunately, the umbrella entrance was not successful and Mrs. Featherbottom crashes into the coffee table right next to Maebe. ahhhh so funny.
