A disappointing episode that shows the programme is losing its edge. Nothing can really surprise you anymore and when that element of surprise disappears, there is not that much left. The introduction of the English characters took away too much from the regular members of the Bluth family. Both Gob and Buster are underused. Tobias runs the risk of looking like a complete idiot, Lucille does little more than a cameo. At one time Michael was the sane center of the show, but love seems to have taken away his brain cells.

There are a few moments of brilliance. The joke of the boom showing just when the characters fear being bugged was both daring and original.

Last week: The Godfather. This week: Japanese monster movies. Maybe snuff films are next on the list. Or a nice zombie story, those are always good for a chuckle.

I think this whole Tobias being a closet homosexual thing is being pushed to the breaking point. An "accidental" slip here or there is one thing, but staring at some guy's moles in the locker room? Come on now, Dr. Funke, you're not fooling anyone. Tobias being openly gay could even be kind of fun for the show. Perhaps he and Lindsay could both go after the same guy, or maybe Maebe (get it?) could make a movie about growing up with a gay father. What hasn't gotten old (yet) is the surrogate. There's so much potential for humor in that guy. If this is the end of Larry the surrogate, then I suppose it was a pretty good run. Now they just need to get rid of Rita before that joke gets stale. Although finding humor in the mentally handicapped is a pretty bold move, even for Arrested Development.

Also, giant mole + jetpack guy = greatness. The Japanese aren't as easy to offend as some people, but belittling such a cultural trademark as the giant monster films would most likely end whatever investment opportunity they were looking at.
  • All the plots combine at the end to make it an amazing episode.

Everything comes together at the end of this episode, all of the plots combining into one, Tobias misunderstanding the concept of a “mole”, Michael telling George Michael about a present at the same time George Sr’s jetpack arrives, George Michael coming to the only plausible conclusion, Gob building a tiny town, believing that his father was helping and the Japanese investors arriving.

There are some excellent jokes in this episode such as Larry not doing sarcasm, Buster using the surrogate, Tobias’ mole suit and the mystery of the insider.

Overall, this is a very entertaining instalment of Arrested Development with a startling end of Michel proposing.
  • Proof that this is the greatest comedy to come out of America EVER.

What a great episode. Michael begins to suspect that his english girlfriend is an insider trying to get dirt on the bluths... as we already expected. However the twist at the end made me look back at the last few episodes and realise how clever the show really is... and how dumb I was for missing the clues.

Tobias is enlisted to become a mole for the CIA, but again... being the dimwit hie is... he thinks he is auditioning for a part, and dresses up as a mole, while George Michael tries to build a jet pack, leading to an accidental Japanese fight over a model city that although a bit over the top... concluded the japanese transaction perfectly.

The end with Annyong was great... wish he appeared in the show more. I know there wasn't much to his character... except to annoy Buster and repeat that Annyong/ Hello joke every episode... but I still feel like theres something missing when he's not around.

Can\'t wait to see what happens when Michael find out Rita\'s secret... I love this show... why, why why must it end?

This show is different and good. I dunno why i like it but it's good. In episode 5, season 3, they made a mistake. During there conference in the conference room there were a shot gun mic that appeared on the camera. I dont know if that was done on perpose or what but it was really obvious. I wonder why they didnt edit it out?
  • Does exactly what it says on the tin!

This was a prime example of Arrested Development, probably the best american comedy at the moment. I really can't believe how americans can't be following this show? I think it may be a bit to smart and clever for them? Maybe they need a laughtrack going every 15 seconds to make it more popular. It sure is sad to hear this show is being cancelled, and hopefully some other network picks it up and turns it into a cult classic.

Its incredible how goddam funny this show is. just when you thought it was over....WHAM! Rita\'s retarted! Everything builds up and crashes down so gracefully, its like watching a comedy ballerina. I love it! Never will a show like this be made again! And if Fox, the whorr they are, cancel it, then tv shall be doomed eternally!

Both the writing and the performances were excellent. I'm glad Rita got some more lines because she seemed kind of unresponsive to Michael in the previous episodes. I have to say though, for a retard she has a pretty decent vocabulary! Gob and Buster bonding was great to watch, as were Tobias' auditioning (the man's a genius) and George Michael's excitement over tax deductions. The storylines interweaved delightfully, which came as no surprise, but we're spoiled that way.

Two short-but-sweet scenes took the cake though:

    1. Gob disses the surrogate, who then punches him in the face (Super Dave rules!!) - and Ron Howard goes: "...But even a pro like Larry has a breaking point" :)

    2. Annyong: "Annyong?"

The mike was likely a joke, Bob Loblaw mentions 'listening devices in the room', just before that shot.
  • GOB and Buster team up to mislead Japanese investors. Tobias mistakes a CIA agent for a CAA agent and starts to spy on his family without knowing it. And we discover something interesting about Rita.

OH Boy.. This episdoe was hilarious. Off the wall to say the least. I still can't get over the MRF thing. I did not see it coming. But it certainly explains a lot. I was so confused at why Charlize Theron was acting so strangely, I thought she just wasn't used to TV. But it turns out she plays a retard.

As soon as the episode was over I had to rewatch all of those other Rita episodes, and its true shes retarded, she's not a teacher at the preschool she actually goes to it. So when she likes to think they teach her there shes right they do. And when she was riding the space ship she really was enjoying it.

This show seems to do exactly what I want. I wanted Steve Holt to come back and he did, and then they brought back Annyong. Oh I am sooooo happy right now.

Another excellent episode. This episode is another example of all story lines and plot lines coming together in one hilarious scene. The jet pack, mole costume, Japenese movie nods, CIA, Mr. F., and the faqther/son stories all culminate in a ridiculously funny encounter at the model home site. Micheal forgives Rita due to Tobias' faux paus in mistaking a CIA agent for a CAA agent. In the end we discover that the gold star Rita is working so hard to earn is actually a chocolate candy! Classicly funny! This episode is exactly why I watch this show. Clever. Smart. Funny.

I cannot express how much I love this show! Every episode is as well written or better than the one before it and this past monday we were treated to two new episodes of the great show. In this one Michael and Steve holt enter a father and sun triathalon at the State Fair. Michael believes it to be a real triathalon so trains so hard that his body literally collapses only to learn that is a bunch of kiddy races. The beauty pagent scene was hilarious with Maybe entering as a cripple and almost winning. The most hilarious thing was the reveal of what Mr. F meant though lol.
  • M R F ? That was so hilarious when they revealed what that standed for, laughed for a few minutes after that. I can\\\'t believe the funniest stupid little jokes that can make people laugh. I don\\\'t understand how people don\\\'t watch this show regular

This episode was better than Notapussy, i think anyways. The story is still strong and hilarious but I can agree with some fans that it\\\'s getting different, the first three of season three I loved and was pissed that baseball took it away. I think the hiatus took some of the steam out of it\\\'s comedy so maybe thats why I didn\\\'t enjoy them as much. Don\\\'t get me wrong I still love the show, no matter what, and will always support it.
  • It continues to amaze me how the writers manage to tie an episode in so well. Everything came together perfectly.

Tobias' complete ignorance for the CIA, George Michael's jetpack, and GOB's plot to fool the Japanese investors is just a great example of how individual character plots unite in the end to create a hilarious outcome.

  • This episode was the best I have ever seen. I wish the scale went higher than 10 so it could reflect how great it was.

This is why this show is so great. This is why I this show will win another emmy. And this episode makes me sit and wonder how Arrested Development isn't the highest rated comedy, or show for that matter, on TV. The writing, the acting, the plot even, led to an enjoying half an hour that I was sad to see end, and still laughing at hours later. The end, with Tobias in a mole suit destroying the town and George Michael in the space suit had me laughing out loud to the point of near wetting myself, and that is something that hasn't happened in a long time from a TV show. This episode should be shown to every person in America who has never seen the show, and I would bet ratings would grow substantially. Easily the best episode of one of the best shows ever.
  • If FOX decides to cancel this show. They'll have a lot of angry viewers. Best episode I've ever seen.

Where can you watch someone mistake a CIA agent for a CAA agent?

Where can you see a Tunnel of Hell become a Tunnel of Love, Indubidably.

Where can you find Charlize Theron, Dave Thomas, and Scott Baio?

This Arrested Development was filled with hilarious new material. If FOX keeps this show, we can expect a great series. Keep watching the show guys, it just keeps getting better and better.
