The wonderful thing about this show is that it can always surprise the viewer. Its story lines are as complex as anything Larry David can come up with, the characters so outlandish that nothing is impossible. In this episode the different self-obsessed members of the Bluth family continue trying to resolve their problems and in a wonderful Seinfeld-like moment the story lines of Tobias, Lindsay and Gob all come together in the scenes in the department store. The funniest bits are linked to the "Bring Your Daughter To Work"-plot. In the middle of a scene with two main characters, you suddenly get a young girl doing the work her father should be doing. The girl shouting at George Sr. and Buster in prison, taking over the role of her prison officer father, is one of the highlights.moreless

This is the first episode to explore the relationship between Maeby and her uncle Michael after doing several on the interaction with her mother, father and cousin and this episode worked on so many levels because of this focus with the don't lie bet and lying to save Michael anyway despite Kitty still wanting to put charges against Michael for attempted murder.

The whole shopping centre scenario was brilliant, especially Lindsay wanting to be known as a shoplifter rather than a shop clerk and the fact that all the appearances had daughters aswell was a terrific addition to the plot.

Buster's plot was terrific especially the final scene with him hurting all the players in order to score a goal against Annyong.

Overall, all of the plots in this episode are hilarious, combining together to make one seriously entertaining instalment.moreless

    • One of the police officers makes reference to having daughters who seem to have run off somewhere. In the next season, the same officers are a couple and hire Maggie to be a surrogate mother so they can finally have children. Their next appearance completely disregards the fact that they already have kids. Edit
    • When Buster runs through the kids, you can see the football being left behind Buster. But in the next cut, he is kicking it in front of him. Edit

    ADD NOTES
    • In addition to members of "Mr. Show," "SNL," "Seinfeld," "Upright Citizens Brigade," and other great sketch/ensemble comedy shows to appear on "AD", Kevin McDonald from "Kids in the Hall" appears here in an all too brief cameo. Edit
    • The mall security office advertises Security Guard Classes. Powers to Arrest are $30. Firearms Qualifications are $99. And Annual Re-Qualification is $55. Edit
    • Oscar's jacket says "David Cassidy Live." In "Whistler's Mother," Oscar told Michael that he wrote "All You Need are Smiles" for David to perform on television. Edit

    • George, Sr.: Ban on organized sports? Buster: You know, how you wouldn't let me sign up for anything when I was a kid. George, Sr.: Is that what you've been thinking all these years? No, no, look, you were ... you were just a turd out there, you know? You couldn't kick, and you couldn't run, you know? You were just a turd. Buster: Prison has destroyed the way you talk. If that's what it takes to impress these guys around here, then they are not your friends. Edit
    • (On a 'Girls with Low Self-Esteem' video for Gob's magic act) Announcer: It was a wild time on the beach, and if you like magic, look away. The only thing this guy could make fly away was the crowd. Edit
    • George Michael: Hey, Dad. Do you think this purse goes with this outfit? Where'd my dad go? Tobias: (falsetto) Douche-chill. Edit
