At the model home, Lindsay finds Tobias missing. Tobias went to work, as he had been cast as "Frightened Inmate #2" in a prison drama. Taking this as a challenge, Lindsay vows to find herself a job.
Lucille has grown closer to her new Korean son, and is impressed when he gets a job at the banana stand. Michael arrives at the penthouse, to discover that Lucille needed money, as Kitty, Michael's secretary didn't send it. Michael is horrified that while he works two jobs and gets a salary for one, his mom (and the rest of the family) have gotten a salary to do nothing.
Michael decides then and there to give his clan work. Buster is the new company copy boy, which he doesn't handle well, and Lindsay is put to answering phones. During her first meeting, she turns everyone away from Michael, promising them all fun and happiness with her, and sending them to lunch "on her".
At the banana stand, George Michael is working as usual, and worrying about his father's extra work hours. Tobias has checked himself into the Orange County Prison to research his film role. The artsy warden is only too happy to help out, and Tobias has been put up with George Sr.
Michael decides to put Gob and Buster to work on a Bluth construction site. Buster is happy to be outside, but quickly staples his jacket sleeve to a wall. With Michael gone, Lindsay begins taking over. She renovates the office, and while the employees go out to lunch on the bus reserved for Lupe's family reunion, FBI agents, who disguised themselves as men renovating the lighting, saw their oppurtunity to investigate.
In the prison yard, George is being threatened by White Power Bill, who has a pipe and is demanding he stop converting the inmates to Judaism, when he is reunited with Tobias, who is ever so eager to learn from him. Meanwhile, with "Annyoung" at the stand, Maeby urges George Michael to take a day off. George Michael went to Bluth Co. to eat with his father.
Back home, with Lupe and her family all out for the day, Lucille realizes she misses them, mostly because she needs help unloading groceries. Over at the job site, Gob has had enough of "work" and squeals about the family's paychecks for doing nothing, while all the other workings can't get their checks. Buster, having enjoyed his day, resents this and tries to fight him. They decide to settle it over a game of bulldozer chicken.
At the office, Lindsay is trying to handle the work stoppage the only way she knows how, by heading to the site and leaving George Michael to do her work. She heads to the site, picking up Lupe's stranded family members on the way. She decides to use them for labor, killing two birds with one stone.
At the construction site, the workers resent the idea of scabs being brought in, and Lupe's family resents being brought here to work. Michael shows up and decides to let everyone relax with a party.
On the next Arrested Development...
Tobias gets an insight into fear, and the employees find a new direction.
