  • THe best episode yet!

I absolutely loved this episode - so much intense action, huge developments and amazing scenes, and the episode really only got the cauldron bubbling - so much is still yet to come, which is exciting.

Absolutely LOVED Laurel's appearance in the Verdant underground lair - the manner in which she appeared was purely EPIC and the way she got dirt on Blood was amazing too.

Felicity was equally stunning - especially loved her funeral rambling scene, and her high-tech interrogation scene. She is incredible.

A phone call from STAR Labs could mean good news, but the Mirakuru Squadron is attacking now, and there could be a whole lot of bad news before any good.

Can't wait to see the last two episodes of the season - this was insanely incredible!moreless
  • Isabel's back and tougher than ever

Great episode only let down by Olivers thoughts of suicide. Laurel is now part of the team, sort of, and the best part is that Isabel's back and tougher than ever.
  • Stop trying to make Laurel happen

I hope Thea stays. And that Roy gets better. I like both characters as individuals and as a couple. And I like what Roy brings to Team Arrow.

Speaking of which I was glad to see them go back to basics. See the friendship between Felicity and Diggle. And how much Felicity cares about Oliver. And to what lengths they would both go to save Oliver from himself.

What I was less thrilled to see was Laurel brought into it. Causing mess. She was always rather removed from the story, even more so in the second season. And while I understand why Slade would spill this particular secret to her, it feels so forced having her tag along and mess things up as they try to persuade us she is in any way shape or form useful. And her pep talk to Oliver about how she knows him better than herself was just ridiculous. She didn't know him much before the accident and she sure as hell has no idea who he is now. Mask or not.

Maybe if she was played by a stronger actress, the character - as terribly written as it was so far, would be salvageable. But both Lance sisters are played by very weak actresses that more often than not drag each scene they are in down.

I wonder how Sebastian Blood will end up. He seemed not so sure at the end before putting on the mask. And holy hell, how many of those super soldiers had Slade created?

Cliffhanger, you are doing it right.moreless
  • Another great episode

Not one of Slades 'soldiers' turned into a mindless uncontrollable killing machine like Roy or even Slades reaction to it, imo, it would've taken months to be bring them to the point where they could be controlled and used as an army. I hope they can either cure or at least help Roy in some way, don't much like what the writers have done with his character recently.

I don't see how a 'Temporarily appointed CEO' via a hurriedly written note on a napkin can suddenly own absolutely everything that belonged to the Queens including their personal funds and assets, I'm sure their big bucks lawyers would've had a field day. Also like someone else said, they still have their shares so they wouldn't be totally skint, but then shares aren't direct cash unless you sell them, which comes to the other point don't they still have the majority of 51% ?.

The hate on Laurel - never have understood that, I like her character. Okay so hasn't really fought any physical demons, but she's been through the mill and fell into a vice of drink and pills to deal with it (which pre-airing her father had also used drink) but then with help she fought back and dealt with the 6 years of lies and betrayals that led her there which can only make her stronger internally.

In the season 1 finale Oliver tells Laurel that 'those 5 years on the island didn't change me, they just scraped away all the things that I wasn't and revealed the person that I always was, which is the person that you always saw'. I think that was again reflected in what she said tonight 'I know it might sound crazy in light of your secret, but I know who you are in your bones' - basically what his core is made of probably why she fell in love with him in the first place and what draws her back to him every time, despite his flings with Sarah or Oliver trying move on with other women him and wanting her to be happy with Tommy, but not being able to let go at the same time. To me it's obvious (whether we want Olicity to happen or not) that their hearts always pine for each other.

  • The un-ending Slade thing....

When Oliver went to save Roy, he used special exploding arrows to knock out Slade for a good 30 seconds. Hmmmm, what should we do in that time period? Maybe pick up Slade's sword, chop his head off, then shoot an arrow into Rose? Now stroll over to Roy, plant a bomb on the machine, then zip away with Roy while the bomb destroys everything else, including the men on the tables. Case closed. But that makes too much sense for a goody-goody super hero. Let's extend the whole thing indefinitely and get our mother killed and who knows how many others. Sound good?moreless

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Felicity: I don't even knowing why I'm crying. I didn't even like Moira. Terrible thing to say about someone after the just died. In my defense, she was not nice. She was diabolical. Not a word you often hear at someone's funeral.

    • Anatoly: Like riding bicycle. Underwater.

    • Felicity: I don't accept that. You shouldn't, either. You can't just accept things, Oliver. If I'd accepted my life, I would be a cocktail waitress in Vegas like my mother, and I never would have gone to college, and I never would have moved a thousand miles away to work at Queen Consolidated, and I never would have believed some crazy guy in a hood when he told me I could be more than just an IT girl.

    • Laurel: I don't know anything about hoods and masks or human weapons, or any of this. But I know you. I know you like I know my own name. And I realize it may sound crazy in light of your secret, but I know who you are in your bones, Oliver. And that person--that person doesn't give up. That person, he always finds a way.

    • Clinton Hogue: Go to hell.
Diggle: You sure that's how you want to play it?
Clinton Hogue: Do you think I've never taken a beating before?
Diggle: Pal, you're going to wish I beat you.
Felicity: Hi. I'll be your interrogator.

    • Felicity: What should I do with the rest?
      Diggle: Greenpeace.
Felicity: Great cause. And they really appreciate the support.
      Clinton: You bitch!
      Felicity: Bitch with Wi-Fi.

    • Sebastian: How do you know I've been working with Slade Wilson?
      Oliver: Because I'm the Arrow.
