    In Trust But Verify Oliver hints at the fact he wasn't on the island the entire time. I think it would pretty fun if there was an entire season or half a season where it's just a year of Slade and Oliver running around on covert ops. I mean there's 5 years of material there.

    It would explain how Oliver became involved with the Russians and gained such status and pull amongst them.
