  • Absolutely spectacular.

I was so excited to see Sara back - we've had plenty of her in flashbacks of late, but it's been a while since her last appearance in the present, and I am glad her relationship with the League of Assassins was resolved and that she can stay in Starling City, because I love the character and I think she can add a lot to the storyline.

Oliver & Sara? Not as exciting as seeing Oliver & Felicity, but certainly better than Oliver & Laurel together in my books. Should be interesting to see where it goes, but personally I don't think it's gonna last very long!

As for Moira - I am so thankful for Felicity being who she is and telling Oliver when she discovered the big secret. Oliver's confrontation with Moira was exciting and I think it was one of the best scenes we've had on the show - just as exciting as the confrontations with her as the Hood during Season 1!

All up, the story developed so spectacularly today. I cannot wait to see where Sara fits in now and where we go next!moreless
  • New Fan

"Oh Sarah! It was so hot seeing you kiss that chick!", says Oliver before he tries to swallow her face whole.... In all seriousness though, it is good to see a woman that is supposed to be tough that actually has some muscle on her bones. A nice refreshing change from the women you usually see in those parts that are picked because they look best in the costume.
  • PLEASE kill off needy laurel and her buck toothed sister ASAP

PLEASE kill off needy laurel and her buck toothed sister ASAP. Seriously? Why would a long haired blonde superhero disguise herself with a long blonde wig anyway? Was it the only wig on special offer or something?
  • Oliver's Relationships with Women

Unlike most people, I'm not unhappy about Sara and Oliver hookin up and I am a Olicity shipper. It's just that I think that both of them have some growing up to do before a relationship between them is viable in a long term way. I'm happy that they are not putting the two of them together too quickly: it's going to make it even more enjoyable when they'll finally put them together (see Beckett and Castle). Unlike the other female cast, Felicity is going to be a permanent fixture in both of Oliver's life, as the CEO of Queen Consolidated and the Arrow/Hood vigilante part. As Oliver puts it he needs her, he relies on her and she's his partner; but for now, we don't have much of a back story about Felicity. Him and Sara do and them kissing reaks of unsolved issues between them... and Laurel. Oliver needs to move past the Lance sisters before he can have a serious and real relationship with anyone. Anyone being Felicity of course. And so this needed to happen!

That said, I have to admit that I wasn't as excited as most fans about Nyssa but she served her purpose by pulling Sara back to Starling City which was the point of this episode: allowing her a life outside of being a former assasin/vigilante and a real chance at being with Oliver out in the open.

This show has gotten better and better since the beginning (and I didn't think much of it when it started) and I can't wait to see Laurel , Sara and Oliver in the same room! That's going to be AWESOME! Someone, I don't remember who, said that we haven't seen Laurel really break down yet,and that her arc has been ill managed, and that she needed a sort of breaking point. Afterall, "there's only one way up when you're at zero", right? It's obvious that the writers want Sara and Oliver to happen, as long as it makes the show better and we get to see some good television, I'm all for it. I'm just wondering what is going to be the point of Laurel now? She's becoming more and more like Thea Queen (not that necessary). So, since I believe they have a 5 year (minimum) plan for the show, one for each year that Oliver spent on the island, or somewhere else but Starling City, what are they going to do with her character. But that is beside the point.

I also wanted to point out the relationship between Oliver and Felicity: they are at a turning point now. They have reached real friendship status: her telling Oliver about Malcolm being Thea's dad sealed it. Her going to the mat against Moira Queen, I really loved it. I feel like Oliver is slowly measuring the people around by the Felicity stick. My take is that next year, they are going to start dancing around each other( and Felicity may become the Black Canary!) Don't scoff at my theory! First Sara is not meant to last and second it's better than the people who think that Isabel is Talia Al Ghul. Me think NO, I believe, she's Slade's pawn since, he is the big villain this year. But that is also beside the point. So I'll just finish by saying BRAVO and keep up the good work.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Starting at 5:50, the position of Laurel's hair in front of/behind her right ear changes depending on whether the camera is in front of behind her.

    • During one of the flashback scenes, Quentin is seen watching a football game while preparing dinner; this football broadcast features the logo of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Quentin: That is not the kind of lawyer you're going to be, young lady. You're going to be a judge or a professor, just like your mother.
Dinah: Yeah, come over to academia. The fun never ends.

    • Sara: Okay, Laurel. I wasn't trying to be a bitch.
Laurel: The title of your autobiography.

    • Felicity: Luckily for us, Tibetan pit viper venom is surprisingly difficult to transport. It starts losing its potency the moment it leaves the fangs. Yet another sentence I never thought I'd actually say out loud.

    • Sebastian Blood: So which is it? The woman strong enough to lead this city, or the one too weak willed to save it?
Moira: The one who should not be underestimated.

    • Quentin: You know, you never did tell me how you joined up with the Arrow in the first place. Where'd you two even meet?
      Sara: Vigilante club.
Quentin: Same old Sara. Well, not exactly the same.

  • NOTES (3)

    • Colton Haynes is credited but doesn't appear. A scene was filmed with him but the director cut it out at the last minute for timing reasons.

    • Nyssa Ratko

Ra's al Ghul's daughter was first introduced in Detective Comics #783 (August 2003), and created by Greg Rucka and Klaus Janson. Nyssa is born in the 19th century and her father eventually gives her the same immortality that he has. She eventually leaves him because of his genocidal plans but turns homicidal herself and carries out a series of plans to destroy hope and optimism in the world. This is her first television appearance.
