Oliver hunts down a drug dealer known as "The Count" to prevent the distribution of a new drug known as Vertigo... after Thea has been arrested for using it. While Oliver turns to a former girlfriend and current vice cop for help, Moira defends Thea and Felicity learns more about Moira.

Oliver: Took down three Vertigo pushers tonight, Diggle. Last one finally knew a name. The Count.
Diggle: The Count? That's worse than The Hood.
Oliver: Hey, we should get going. Judges don't appreciate the value in being fashionably late.
Tommy: I'm learning you're not much of a morning snuggler.
Laurel: And I'm learning that you don't like to wake up at any hour that ends in a.m.
Tommy: Yeah, that's true.
Diggle: Just that easy, huh.
Oliver: Well, I will need my trusty bodyguard.
Diggle: Fantastic. Looking forward to my new and exciting career as a drug dealer.
Felicity: You look like something the cat dragged in. Not that there are cats in this building. Well, once a cat did get in, but a guard tazed it. It smelled like fur and static in here for a week.
Oliver: But I'm very particular about what it is I put in my body.
Felicity: I noticed. (Oliver stares) I said, not noticed. Right?
Injoke: Thea's middle name is "Dearden," a reference to Mia Dearden, the second character to use the name of Speedy and work as Green Arrow's sidekick in the comics.
Count Vertigo
Count Werner Vertigo first appeared in World's Finest Comics #251 (July 1978) and was created by Gerry Conway, Trevor Von Eeden, and Vince Colletta. Vertigo is the last descendent of the royal family of Vlatava, and suffers from an inner-ear disorder. He discovered that he could modify the device to project waves of nausea on anyone in his vicinity, and first battled Green Arrow in Star City. He later was able to project his "vertigo effect" without need of the device, and gained the ability to fly. After the destruction of his homeland, Vertigo has spent time both as villain (as a member of the Injustice Society and the Suicide Squad) and a hero of sorts with Checkmate.
