Episode Summary

EDIT
#110301 "Buenas Noches, Vicita"

When Vicita loses her favorite storybook, "The Magic Mango Tree," it looks like she may never get to sleep again. Nothing else seems to help her sleep, but then D.W. helps her to see that she knows the story by heart. Worried, however, that she got one of the details wrong, she sets out to correct her error in a dream.

#110302 "Prunella Packs it In"

Prunella's older sister's anxieties about going to college wear off on her. Knowing that she's only an okay student, she aims to become well-rounded by loading up on a bunch of activities. She soon finds herself overscheduled and overwhelmed, not to mention that she's not having any fun.moreless

    8.0
The first episode was pretty good but lacking in story. There was a few jokes, and it felt like an arthur episode, but some parts of the episode were similar to other parts. It shows vicitas character a bit more, and you learn she goes to the same school as dw.

The episode with Prunella, is not as good. It doesn't make as much sence, but is still good in some ways. The episode shows the viewer that you should not prepare for thing to early on, and live life to the fullest. The best part about this episode is the ending:)moreless
  • The first story was about Vicita and the second story was Prunella worrying about college.

    1.0
This was in my opinion, one of the worst episodes in the whole series. The first story once again had none of the main cast. It was just D.W. and Vicita like in the crib episode from season 8 and that was terrible too. Why are they focusing so much on these side characters and not the main cast?

The second story was even worse. It was really bizarre and was all over the place. Arthur doesn't appear yet again, why is this show even still called Arthur? More over exposure from Muffy which is beyond irritating at this point. Extremely boring and one of the worst episodes in the entire series.moreless

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Muffy: Daddy, tell Prunella that painting is just a hobby and would never in a million years get you into Ivy University.
Mr. Crosswire: I wouldn't know. I never went to college.

    • Prunella: (in dream sequence) No more! I can't carry it all!

    • Marina: What about volunteer work? If you're going to run around doing things you don't like, you might as well be helping someone.
      Prunella: That's a great idea.

    • Prunella: How to speak useful Czech. That sounds... useful. Now all I have to do is get my Mom to sign me up. This is going to be great.

    • Marina: You're only nine. You don't have to worry about college yet.
Prunella: Easy for you to say. You get straight A's.

    • Muffy: When you really care about stuff, Prunella, you just find the time.

    • Prunella: There's a single exam that gets you into college?
Muffy: If there is, Daddy must have gotten an A-plus. He went to Ivy University and that's the best college there is.
Brain: The college exam isn't graded with a letter, Muffy. They're graded with numbers.
Muffy: Oh. Then I guess he got a million.

    • Vicita: Now eat this, so Jaguar Man will teach you the ways of the jaguar and you'll never have to worry about being teased again.
Vaica: I don't even really like mangos. Do you have any magic papayas?
      Raulito: Eat the mango!

    • D.W.: (in dream sequence) Vicita, come and have a mango. This place is kid heaven! No one ever sleeps here.
Vicita: No. I need the sleeping mango tree. I have to get there before Vaica falls and hurts himself.

    • Buster: (in dreamy, hypnotic voice) You're getting sleepy. Very sleepy.
      Vicita: (matter-of-factly) No, I'm not.
Buster: You aren't? (yawns) I am. Would you mind if I lay down?
      D.W.: Amateurs.

    • Arthur: There's one thing that never fails to put Buster to sleep --- homework.
