    • The song performed by the chorus is "In The Good Old Summertime", written by George Evans and Ren Shields in 1902 and also featured in a 1949 film of the same name.

    • The closing credits are reduced beginning with this episode and the end theme is cut to the beginning with vocals, all in an effort to accomodate the extended sponsorship messages. Additionally, the old CINAR logo is replaced with the logo for Cookie Jar Entertainment, which comes down and zooms in with the phrase "Cookie Jar is a registered trademark of Cookie Jar Entertainment, Inc."

    • Frank Gehry made a guest appearance in the Simpsons episode "The Seven Beer Snitch" shortly after this episode.

    • Dr. Fugue from "Arthur Plays the Blues" returns in this episode.

    • Frank Gehry was credited for the famous Hollywood Bowl renovation project in the 1970's. He also created the 'Experiece Music Project' in Seattle, WA (Next to the 'Space Needle').

  • Allusions

    • Castle in the Sky is a famous Japanese movie about one boy named Pazo trying to search for a lost castle in the clouds that his father took a photo of. A girl named Shita accompanies him, and they do find the castle, but unaware of the fact that someone is also trying to look for the treasures in the castle, and whose last name is the same as Shita's.
