The storyboard artist for the first story is Ivan Tankushev and on the list of pen pal names which Mr. Ratburn "earmarked from a webspot," one of the pen pals is named Alex Tankushev.
The Tyrone Bellows record which Buster plays in "Bitzi's Break-Up" is likely a reference to soul singer Tyrone Davis.
Bitzi has a collection of Peter, Paul, and Mary records. Peter, Paul, and Mary is a musical folk trio.
