"Thanks a Lot, Binky"
What's the point of doing a good deed if it goes unnoticed? When Binky is deprived of a simple 'thank-you', he resolves to quit doing good things for other people. Who can change his mind?moreless
In French, "zut" means "Darn it!" or "D*** it!"
In 'Thanks a Lot, Binky', in the scene where Rattles is in the hospital wearing a body-cast, he has bear ears (like Brain's). Later on, in 'D.W., Dancing Queen', when Rattles is dancing in the show, he has dog ears (kind of like Fern's, but smaller).
Slam: Slam Wilson doesn't like to be kept waiting!
Binky's Mother: There wasn't enough money in your college fund for THREE cruise tickets!
Francine: Fern needs to go to the bathroom. Indoors.
Fern: We must have Early Bird Special written all over us!
Binky: I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid.
Muffy: Can you still hear me Daddy? Great! How about now? Great! And now? Great!
This is the first full half-hour Arthur show where Arthur does not have a speaking part in both episodes.
Rattles' mother and Slink's mother made their cameo apperance in " Thanks A Lot Binky".
Muffy repeatedly asking her father if he could hear her over her cell phone is a spoof on a series of commercials for Verizon wireless phones in which a man repeatedly asks "Can you hear me now?" and responds "Good!" (presumably after the unheard voice on the phone assures him that they can, in fact, hear him.)
In "FernFern and the Secret of Moose Mountain" when Muffy starts up her GPS, the Nintendo Game Boy start-up sound can be heard.
In "Fernfern and the Secret of Moose Mountain," Muffy says she got her GPS system from The Sherpa Image. This is a reference to the electronics store The Sharper Image, a specialty retailer known for products such as the "Ionic Breeze."
In "Thanks a Lot, Binky," there is a sign that says Karabagli Real Estate. Bulent Karabagli is a character designer for Arthur.
The "Adventure of Zutzut" which Fern was reading in the beginning of this episode is a spoof of The Adventures of Tintin, which is a popular Belgian cartoon character.
