How can you be talented at fashion, unless you are a designer?

I've noticed in the older episodes, Muffy was at least competent at playing the violin. Not impossibly exceptional, but competent. But in the episode "Brother Can You Spare a Clarinet", she suddenly became horrible at it. What happened?

Maybe she got out of practice, or maybe the Stradivarius was too big for her.

Francine and Fern are both good at singing. They could go on Arthur Idol. But Francine is rather sporty and Fern isn't generally the type that would go on such a show. Binky is good at the clarinet. Sue Ellen is another sporty type, although I can't think of any specific sport she excels at. As for Arthur and Buster, I can't really remember them having any sort of ultra-special talent. Then, there's the Brain, of course, who's a genius.

Sue Ellen is good at karate.  Arthur plays the piano.

Right, yes! I do recall seeing Sue Ellen doing karate before, but it's been a while. And there's no doubt that Arthur is an excellent piano player, when he applies himself. He was good enough to be taken under the tutelage of an expert teacher, so there's no doubt he's good.

Don't forget George. He's good at ventriloquism. He even gets advice from his dummy, Wally.

    That's taekwon-do specifically.

Thanks. and also Francine...she isn't talented at playing the drums the same time as singing.
At a time, I thought that was the only thing Francine wasn't good at.
