I saw this episode yesterday morning, it was hilarious! Especially when muffy had on all those strange clothes because she had been to like over 30 countries lol..also there doesent seem to be much thunder on these boards and I'm a big fan of arthur and caillou ..Would anyone be interested in an arthur fan site?..(where I could put my web design skills to use)

That episode reminds me of some girls and their Barbie obsessions "way back in the day".

Barbie goes back to the 50s or 60s. I thought they were poking fun at American Girl dolls in the episode.

That's the impression I got too. Of course, American Girls also has a series of books and films. But that's the idea I got too.

'We had to take a second mortgage out on the house'

^^ Parents need help if they do that for some plastic dolls... Great episode though!

Barbie goes back to the late 1950's.

I believe they were supposed to be mimicking American Girl too, since they do have American Girl stores and the dolls are outrageously expensive, and have their own storybooks that go with them.

I believe they were spoofing American Girl and another collection from the company, I think it was called 'Girls of Many Lands'.
