George, who is dyslexic and tends to hide behind his ventriloquist puppet, meets a new friend named Carl. George did not understand initially why Carl is so quiet, unable to answer his questions or comprehend figures of speech, obsessed with trains, and fearful of his toy giraffe. But when Brain explained to him that Carl has Asperger's disease, George learned new ways to befriend him and even discovers that Carl has things to teach him too.
