Muffy won last year's Strawberry baking contest in The Strawberry Festival because her father was the judge but this year when her friends help her bake strawberry cookies she takes the credit and wins the contest. Soon the cookies become so good that Muffy decides to run a business and sell them but not before she lets Arthur and friends get their share.

Goof: In How the Cookie Crumbles one of the ingredients for the cookies was chocolate chips, however when the gang hand over the list to Muffy chocolate chips are omitted from the list.
Instead of getting another green scrunchie, Sue Ellen continues to wear the yellow one for the rest of the story.
From the back, the yellow scrunchie that Rubella gave Sue Ellen is green, like her other one.
In "Sue Ellen's Little Sister," everyone is seen with siblings: Both George and Fern have younger sisters and James has an older brother.
Elwood City has its annual Strawberry Festival in "How the Cookie Crumbles."
Arthur says a boy from Tibet is "3,000 miles away." Try 12,000 miles. The Plateau of Tibet is halfway around the world from Elwood City.
D.W.: (To Sue Ellen) Maybe there's a contest for lonely children after this.
Arthur: It's "only" children, D.W. A lonely child is what you're going to be when I sell you.
Brain: We're all cookies.
Francine: I always wanted to be a cookie.
Brain: I always wanted to be an astrophysicist.
Binky: Banana was my idea.
Muffy: Oh, stop with the bananas already.
D.W.: This is juice. I don't want juice, I want orange soda.
Sue Ellen: But orange soda doesn't look anything like tea and this is a tea party.
D.W.: I don't want a tea party, I want an orange soda party. If I don't get orange soda, I'm going to cry.
Binky: I said banana! Banana was my idea! Without me, there is no banana!
Arthur: I think he's the perfect brother Sue Ellen.
Sue Ellen: Why is that?
Arthur: Because he lives 3,000 miles away.
Arthur: What?! Don't you know what D. W. stands for? Disaster Warning!
