    • (Francine has just given up on the idea of watching television to distract her from her hunger, after her channel-surfing leads her to nothing but cooking shows or advertisements about food.)

Francine: Okay, TV was a bad idea. I know. I'll read. (She begins browsing titles on the family bookshelf.) Food of the Goods?! Breakfast at Tiffany's?! Who Moved My Cheese?!

In searching for reading material, Francine comes across books with food words in their titles, though only one of them actually has a plot particularly involving food. Food of the Gods, first published in 1904, is a scientific romance about a food that causes animals to grow into giants. Breakfast at Tiffany's is a novella by Truman Capote about writer's memories of a call girl named Holly Golightly. Finally, Who Moved My Cheese?, first published in 1998, was written by Spencer Johnson and is a sort of fable designed to help readers deal with workplace change.
