In this episode of Arthur it looks like the Reads' need a new car because there car broke down. But Arthur likes there car and doesnt want a new one. It is understanding that he wants to keep the car. So he does anything to keep the car. I like it when he calls the radio station and they act funny on the radio. But I am glad that they keep the car. In the next episode Jenna gets invited to muffies party and she is embarrased to tell them that she wears a diaper. This teaches a lesson that it is ok and they will understand if they are good friends.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

  • QUOTES (3)

  • NOTES (3)

    • A sign at Crosswire Motors lists Romero, Gorshin, and Meredith as names of salesmen. These are also names of actors who played villains on the 60's Batman series: Cesar Romero (Joker), Frank Gorshin (Riddler), Burgess Meredith (Penguin).

    • Sue Ellen was the only girl at the party with no dialogue. Apparently this is because her voice actress had moved to another city and wasn't available very often. The rumor is that she has been recast for season 9 and Postcards From Buster.

    • Episode B was talked about in a Boston Globe Magazine exclusive in September.

    • Wimzie's House

In Jenna's Bedtime Blues, one TV show that Jenna sees when flipping through channels on the TV at night is a Sesame Street-esque show with puppets showing the letter "P." The design of the puppets resemble characters from Wimzie's House (which, like Arthur, also aired on PBS and was produced by Cinar/Cookie Jar Entertainment).

    • The story title "Pick a Car, Any Car" is a take off on the card trick saying: "pick a card, any card."

    • Jenna: But no one can learn my true identity as...Radioactive Squid Woman!
This is a parody of Spider-man; he was bitten by a radioactive spider. The villain Jenna fights (the one with the pickle jar head) is Mysterio, a famous Spider-Man villain.
