  • First episode was good, second episode was a DISASTER!

"SUE ELLEN MOVES IN" is a good epsiode, but "The Perfect Brother" might be the wrost episode in the series. I really wanted to hate Arthur's family and Pal when Brain stayed over. It is never show that Authur and his family have things get back to normal. There was an epsiode of "Recess" that was similar to this, but at least Spinelli's parents explain why they wanted her to behave like Gretchen who was visiting. Also least Spinelli tells her parents it's bothering her and they listened. Authur's family did not care about him at all during this episode. Skip this episode please!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • During Arthur's fantasy of him and Brain working on a time machine together, Brain carelessly drops a nuclear core somewhere inside it. In reality, it would explode.

    • Around the time Sue Ellen threatens "Give me the master program or I'll ruin your computer forever!" the computer screen is blank, but when Sue Ellen pours tea all over the keyboard, the screen shuts down.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Sue Ellen: Excuse me. Hi, I'm Sue Ellen, I just moved in. Where's the Post Office?
Arthur and Buster: Uhhh... that way! (Arthur pointing left, Buster pointing right)
Sue Ellen: (Picking up a snowball) Snow is so weird, it's like cold, wet sand.
Buster: D-didn't they have snow or your planet? (Stutters) ...where you're from?
Sue Ellen: Nope, I've never seen it before.

    • Francine: Muffy, guess what I heard about the new girl. She's some kind of criminal on the run who had to come here to escape prison!
(Arthur, Buster, the Brain Prunella, Binky, Molly, Rattles, and Fern join the phone conversation.)
Brain: She's weird and she's creepy! No one knows exactly where she came from.
Prunella: When you're hiding out, you always go to a small town.
(the phone chatter resumes inaudibly, and more callers join in to chat about Sue Ellen, but Binky is the only one who hasn't spoken a word)
Binky: Hello? Hello?! What is everyone talking about?!!
(everyone else shuts up and hangs up, when another caller joins in the conversation)
Binky: Hey! Did ya hear about the new kid?
      Mr. Ratburn: Who is this?!
Binky: Oops! Wrong number! (laughs; hangs up)

    • Arthur: Is that music?
      Buster: Yeah, outer space music!

    • Buster: Oh well, maybe they are friendly aliens.

    • Arthur: Alan? Alan who? Oh, you mean the Brain.

    • Brain's dad: Alan, you could take a few lessons from Arthur.

    • Buster: It's just that kind of thinking that's gonna get this planet conquered!

  • NOTES (1)

    • In Arthur's fantasy of Sue Ellen, the man, Dr. Zimmer, says "Thank you, Miss Jones." The name may be a possible reference to Stacy Jones from another PBS show: Shining Time Station starring Thomas the Tank Engine.
