Arts-a-Bound! is a documentary on the arts that originally aired on PBS from September 17, 1985 to January 21, 1986. The series consists of 16 episodes, each with a length of 15 minutes. The series is produced by GPN Educational Media, which makes educational films for use in schools. Art-a-Bound! is designed for children in fourth through eighth grade as part of a lesson plan. It teaches students about the arts, including dance, music, theater and visual arts. The episodes are grouped into five modules, including "Inspiration," "Running the Show," "The Team Backstage," "In The Spotlight" and "Synthesis." The "Inspiration" module includes the episodes "The Choreographer," "The Composer" and "The Playwright." The "Running the Show" module includes the episodes "The Conductor," "The Curator" and "The Director." The "The Team Backstage" module includes the episode "Sets, Lighting, Costumes, Design, etc." The "In The Spotlight" module includes the episodes "The Actor," "Classical Ballet," "Modern Dance," "The Musician," "The Painter," "The Photographer" and "The Sculptor." The "Synthesis" module includes the episodes "Architecture" and "Opera."
