Jamie has problems sleeping. He has visits from a "guide" that show the future to be of Alex, Nicki, Rob, Sasha, Sooz and himself. In the dream, Sasha is a superstar called Space Bitch, Nicki has kids, Alex is selling financial services and Rob has a beard. However, Sooz is not to be seen. He then realises she dies on October 20th, 2002 - as stated on her gravestone "Suzanne Lee - "Sooz" - 20th October 2002". Jamie wakes to find the date is now, of course, 20th October 2002. This forces him into being Sooz's "guardian angel" for the whole day. He follows Sooz all over town and even to college. It's quarter to twelve, and the gang are all at Rob's. Jamie is sending them all to sleep with stories, trying to keep Sooz remaining in the same place until after 12. But she stands up to go. Desperately trying to follow her, he asks for a lift in her car. It's twelve o'clock when she's driving and he roars of happiness. But -- Sooz explains that she had set his watch 10 minutes ahead. It's still 20th October. "I love you" Jamie says to Sooz, after he realises he actually does. Sooz replies "I love you too, Jamie". Just as a lorry is coming towards them. Jamie and Sooz's lifes flash before their eyes... Ending #1: Sooz dodges the lorry. It is now midnight. "Happy 21st October!!" Shouts Jamie, as they drive off happily in the mini. Jamie and Sooz argue and joke the next day, over who's fault the close near-miss was. Ending #2: Sooz and Jamie's car badly crashes into the lorry and they both die. In the aftermath of their deaths, Alex, Sasha, Nicki and Rob argue over funeral arrangments while Sooz and Jamie watch over them, realising this is their eternity.moreless

      • It is presumed that two endings were filmed, because producers wanted a dramatic ending if the series were never to return, so they decided to kill off the main characters. Another ending was filmed however, in case of the unlikely event of the show returning for another series.
