Despite the Root Bar being one of the main sets on the show, in this episode we see the front entrance for the first time.
Alex goes onto world famous Internet search engine 'Ask Jeeves' in this episode, and he asks Jeeves how he can find more gay friends. He searches for this question and finds the answer with a gay men's dining club.
When we see Alex in the opera, Richard is sitting to the left of him. However, when we flashback to the same scene when Alex is falling asleep, Richard is now sitting to the right of him.
Alex: I feel funny...really funny. Like I've found something, but...I don't know what.
Rob: Thing is, it's not the same for me. She's not my... Alex: You're what? Rob: Soulmate.
Richard: Are you gay? Jamie: Uh, if you help me revise, I'll try anything.
Richard: Who on earth are you? Nicki: Don't you stand there in your posh frock asking me who I am!
Amber: You are on my mind, every second of every day. I just thought you felt the same way...
Alex: You and Amber, you're meant for each other. You're like Romeo and Juliet, Miles and Boon... Rob: Jamie and Sooz.
Rob: Hope Al's gonna be alright. Nicki: Yeah, I'm worried sick. Those opera fans can get really nasty after a pink gin or two.
Allen: (on Rob) Oh, cover me in marmite and lick it off.
Alex: Straight. Incredibly straight. In fact, like everyone else I hang out with, all of them, born & bread, 100% hetro with a capital H.
Allen: I only said I fancied Rob, not that I wanted his babies. Alex: Well biologically speaking, that's not a bad thing.
Sasha: Now you listen to us. You go out there, and you meet your new friends and you let the gay scene know exactly what they are missing!
