As Seen On

Show Summary

In the tombs of Game Show Network lies "the vault," a videotape archive of America's classic game shows over the past 50 years. Greg and Matt are responsible for maintaining the videotapes and making sure they are cued for airplay. However, Greg and Matt are infatuated with game shows. So much so that they seem to spend a lot more of their time watching the game shows than completing their duties. So much so, that they like to talk about what they've seen and make witty observations. So much so, they've compiled what they've seen into their own weekly TV series -As Seen On. That, in a nutshell, explains the basic premise of As Seen On, a weekly documentary-type series featuring the best and funniest moments from game shows over the past 50 years. Comedians Greg Baker and Matthew Parrott (the "Vault Guys") preside over the show, introducing the segments and making comments about what they've seen. The segemnts (or sometimes, entire shows) had a theme - such as Mother's Day (sitcom mothers who appeared as celebrities), "great kisses" (contestants and game show hosts smooching) or Christmas (clips from holiday episodes). Sometimes, Greg and Matt paid tribute to deceased game show greats; other times, they presented clips of future celebrities - either as new celebrities or contestants. During each As Seen On, Greg and Matt introduced a clip of "The Poet Laureate of Television" Nipsey Russell (a comedian, Broadway actor and - of course - frequent game show celebrity) reading one of his poems.moreless
