Show Summary

As the World Turns first premiered on April 2, 1956, and has been a mainstay on CBS daytime ever since. The show takes place in the fictional town of Oakdale, Illinois, and revolves around the lives of it's inhabitants. Originally the central family was the Hughes', however today the stories mostly resolve around the enormous Snyder family. As the World Turns is produced by Proctor and Gamble, the same company that produces Guiding Light, the only show to have a longer on-air tenure than ATWT. This year, ATWT celebrated its 54th Anniversary of being on the air in April 2010, the show will end it's run on Sept 17th 2010.moreless

I'm tired of the writer putting Liam with Hope and then Steffy. Steffy is more for Liam then Hope. I dont want Hope and Liam back together after she lost their baby, they need to stay together. Without Hope entering back into a relationship Make it happen that way and move on. Brook preg. with her sister husband child, how can she be a role model to her own daughter Hope. She giving her the wrong ideal ,don't let it happen. Steffy needs to be happy with Liam and Liam need to make it work with Steffy and forget about Hope.moreless

I'm living in Australia and really wan to watch this how. Does anyone know where I can watch unedited version? The videos on youtube is edited too much and parts were missing (sometimes it is confusing).

I am shocked that they have left us all and now I am asking for you to bring it all back,miss this show so much and really your can do without all those realality shows,we can see that stuff in our own lifes everyday so putting it on tv just aint going to last.....bring the soaps back please?do the right thing cbs......

I've already watched the very last episode on 9/18/2010,Tonite the very last episode is being aired in the Netherlands. I still love it to pieces, and it definitely helped me to get through some of the toughest times i've had in my life and trust they were tough.. Not only on 9/18/2010 i've cried, i also cried when it was official that the show would in US and everytime i think about losing the best drama-series there was that i actually watched... I'm even crying now. Anyway i'm also gonna cry tonite.

I'm happy to call myself a true loyal happy emotional fan of As The World Turns... I never wanted to miss a single episode, and if i did i watched it back without subtitles of course.. (that's what annoys me while living in the Netherlands.. THE FREAKY SUBTITLES)moreless

Just like GL before, As the World Turns was canceled. CBS is not renewing it for another season :( Last airdate in 9/2010.
