      • Emma Snyder: Oh, Noah, now look, Ethan has eaten more than you. You're going to hurt my feelings if you don't eat anymore.
Noah Mayer: Ma'am, it's delicious. I just haven't had this much food in all of December.

      • Vienna Hyatt: Oh! My Christmas present is a pooper scooper!
Henry Coleman: Yeah, it's better than diapers, don't you think? Let's just have the puppy now, and then we can we can talk again about a baby.

      • Henry Coleman: Vienna, would you at least come out here and say hello?
Vienna Hyatt: I'm not going to say hello to a dog. It is a dumb animal, and I don't converse with dumb animals. Except you.

      • Customer: What kind of puppy is that?
        Vienna Hyatt: Unwanted.

      • Uncredited speaking parts include a nurse named Liz McKevitt, some kids at Oakdale Memorial, and two customers at Al's Diner.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Noah Mayer: I actually just wrote about The Best Years of our Lives.
Emma Snyder: Oh! That was my mother's favorite movie. They don't make movies like that anymore.
Noah Mayer: No, no. I wrote about the moment when Teresa Wright opens the door on Fredric March and --
