Carly is unable to continue to tell herself that Jack is just trying to teach her a lesson when he informs her that he's filing for divorce, and when she cries on his shoulder, Craig promises to be there for her.
Simon tells Katie that he is leaving and refuses to even kiss her goodbye, but Katie tells him she knows that he cares and is only leaving because of Bartelby. Unfortunately, even Barteby's death cannot keep Simon in Oakdale.
Emily is terrified that Hal will turn on Alison, but both women are surprised when Hal shows an understanding side, even though it's his son that's been accused of arson. Unfortunately, Barbara isn't quite so understanding.
While Rose is waiting for Paul, a stranger kisses the back of her neck. He quickly explains that he is Dusty Donovan and thought she was Lily, but Rose doesn't accept that as an explanation and states it was inappropriate no matter who he thought she was.
Rosanna takes Lucy to the hospital to talk to Will, and he confesses that Alison started the fire and that he only took the rap because Alison insisted she would go to jail if anyone learned the truth.
