The Foutley house is at 711 Forest Avenue, Sheltered Shrubs, CT 06930 (we find this out from the envelope that held the letter from Ginger's dad).
Joann: He looks diseased! (Referring to Carl) Hoodsey: Thats how he always looks mum!
Ginger: Hello stranger You came just in time I look for your face in a crowd or in line Hello stranger Not a moment too soon See- that old picture is fading in the drawer of my room Now toys have gone lost Baby teeth have come loose There were accidents involving stitches spilled juice Report cards were shown And one time I got sick But it's nothing I couldn't catch you up on real quick Hello stranger I saved you a place And it hardly seems strange Now that I've seen your face
Brandon: He's cute and friendly, and he loves to play got your nose, and his favorite thing is... Carl: Let me guess, bananas. Brandon: Correct! Carl and Hoodsey: No duh.
Ginger's Dad: Hello? Is this thing on? Oh. Hi, this is Jonas. Please leave a message and I'll get back to you. (dog barks) No, not you, Ben.
This episode was the first ATBG episode nominated for an Emmy for Best Animation less than 1 Hour. It lost to The Simpsons (for the episode "HOMR"). About Simpsons, see my sidenote of it and ATBG in "Lunatic Lake". At that same time, another Nick show, Invader ZIM, won an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Effort in Animation, even though one year later, for some reason, Nick decided to cancel it despite OK ratings and its Emmy win.
Lois Foutley: "Will you buy a vowel already"?
Lois was referring to NBC's popular, long-running game show "Wheel of Fortune" in which the contestants have to give up money to buy vowels (A, E, I, O, U).
