This is the off-topic thread for the fans and commentators on Atlantis.

    The rules are simple:

    1. Atlantis talk is to be kept in the Atlantis topics.

    2. Please be polite and respectful.

    3. Do share your likes, dislikes, what is going on in your life (to the degree you feel comfortable), and so forth. At the same time, please remain respectful towards other people's likes and dislikes and alike.

    Cheers!

I agree Maybe I should introduce myself. My name is Danko, and besides being the editor of this forum, I like to read books a lot, all kinds of books, not least of all fantasy and fairy tales. When I was a kid I used to read "Stories from Ancient Greece" compiled by Gustav Schwab, so I guess that was one of the first acquaintances with Greek myths. And my father used to tell me Iliad and Odyssey in the evening. Recently I've read Plato's Timaeus and Critias which is where Atlantis myth comes from.

I am a big fan of BBC shows, especially Merlin and Sherlock.

I guess that's enough for now.

So what's up our "technical ferret"?

I have to be honest my knowledge of Ancient Geek myths is only marginally better than my knowledge of Arthurian Britain! I never did the Greeks at School but i have since occasionally taught children about it and i think i owned a Horrible History Groovy Greeks book (or at least read it once!)

I'm doing ok Danko, thanks Just floating along as per to be honest!

Yes, except that we are not here at the same time! (so far, at least). Perhaps there should be a schedule, or arranged meeting time? Thanks, Sarah, I am well. Not that much has changed. It's lovely to see several Merlin fans again and to have a chance to catch up. I guess it's not surprising, as we all like this genre
