  • Betty has to face off with the evil baby and then there is a wacky reality show.

A very clever episode both of them.

Attack of the Evil Baby shows quite a bit of Betty's fighting skill when they are faced with all those nannys. It also emphasizes teamwork and how friends need to stick together to help each other no matter what. Personally, I loved seeing the charm bracelet go into trapeze mode instead of the usual tarpenian rope thrower. A baby as a villain is not exactly a new theme for tv but this episode certainly freshened it up by adding the element of the nannys. One downside was how uniform they looked after being dipped in the lava but the ferocity was just right. The dentist subplot is cute and it shows that everyone is afraid of something: even galactic guardians.

Space Brains- I think this might be the equivalent of a poke of fun at reality tv shows. It shows how far some people are willing to go for money and how stupid the competitions can get. People racing through lasers, eating 50 pounds of ... glop and one trivia question is a little absurd but alot of reality shows can be like that.(Minus the lasers of course) Sparky coming through in the end without telling where Betty was from was a bit of a shocker and a reinforcer of just how smart and loyal he is. He may want to win the game show but not at the expense of one of his best friends. The piece where Betty's mom says there is no such thing as space aliens is truly ironic considering that her daughter is off fighting them at that very moment. But it was nice of her dad to save her comic books for her- hey, even Galactic Guardians need a little backing up in times of trouble.
